My car is close to being done and ready for delivery. (see signature)
This projects cost is North of $50,000.
The question that I have is how particular should I be in regards to the finished product. I want to be reasonable and fair.
I will give you one scenario that just came up.
In looking at pictures sent to me by the builder I noticed that the left rear corner of the gas tank was crushed in.
It appears as if the tank was dropped before installation or the car was backed into something (or something was ran into the tank).
This is a new gas tank.
Should I insist that the builder repair this problem?
What other reasonable expectations should I have regarding the finished product.
Thanks,
Scott

You paid for a new gas tank and that one doesn't pass the mustard. Could you imagine taking it to a show and have judges say,"Wow the car looks great! Unfortunately, we can't overlook the installation of a clearly damaged gas tank. No trophy for you!"

I would bring this issue to their attention now before you take delivery of the car. Because, If it's bugging you now just seeing pics, wait until you actually have the vehicle in your possession.

Thanks

Thank you for the responses.
My builder agreed with my concerns and he is replacing the gas tank at no charge
Scott
p.s. I am going next Tuesday (flying 500 miles away)
to go check out the car.

Hopefully Quicksilver will be home in my garage in the very near future..
