Right now I have 1 5/8" LT headers but the engine I'm building up will be choked off with those. I know Ive seen some advertised somewhere that had 1 3/4" Primaries but for the life of me cant find them.

Its for a 302 based engine in a 65 stang. Any ideas besides custom ones? :)

You may be thinking

of the tri-y`s, they have 1 1/2 tube running to 1 3/4 primaries, I think thats what it says. I got a set of Patriots on my desk behind me just waiting for me to install them.

Cool, thanks. I also found some hedman headers but those accufab ones I believe are made of heavier material. Hedman ones did have some 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped but I think straight 1 3/4 would be fine for my setup.

Thanks for that link.

I dont believe the tri-ys will flow well enough for me.

Tubular makes 1 7/8" headers.
6208 Hooker SCs are 351w swap headers with 1 3/4"... but I have seen them used on SBFs with only spacers between the head and flange. Fit better than with 351. I know of a guy that runs them on his 1/4 mile car with a 347 (205 AFRs). He used a set of header flanges as spacers.

Edit:
Crites restorations also makes a set of 1 3/4" headers.
They claim they fit either a 351 or 302... I was skeptical at first.
Such tight engine bays, how could they fit either engine?
I have seen install pics for both engines with this one header in a Maverick and both ways looked great. (65-66 Stangs and Mavericks have very close engine bays and can interchange most headers)

Edit2:
Found a pic of that 302 (347) with the 351w Hookers... 6208s.
You can't tell much other than the headers do fit and will support a serious engine.

Thanks for all the info. Looks like I could go a few diff routes.

I have the hooker headers right now and knew about the 351w ones but was worried the dimensions would cause a prob. Hopefully in a few weeks Ill have the motor back and decide what to do with the headers.
