Hey All. I have a '65 Mustang Convertible that has some gremlins to work out :)
One of my remaining issues involves the passenger side shock tower. It is fairly rusted but the main concern is the golf ball size hole in the shock tower the rust has produced.
Should I replace the whole shock tower or just have someone patch wield the tower for stability?

Thanks all

I'd pry need to see it in person to say for sure, but if it's rusted enough to rust through, it would probably be better to weld in a new shock tower.

I've seen freaky Mustang rust, though, that was so localized a patch was fine.

The shock tower on those cars with the spring above the upper control arm, supports the entire weight of the front of the car. Do not mess with bad shock towers! imp
