I have a 65 Conv. and have been thinking about installing a 69 or 70 mach 1 rear wing on it. Anyone done this or seen it done? how does it look?

I haven't seen it done, but my imagination is telling me I wouldn't like it. I'm on the fence when it comes to the trunk lids with the built in spoiler.

I think it would look really out of place, to big and bulky. It might also be to wide for the early body.

I considered doing this back in the 70's, then I saw one. Ew.

i have seen it done, and i have mixed feelings. done right it doesnt look too out of place, but i think a duck tail spoiler would be a better choice.

Shelby thought about it, but put it off until the 67 model. Of course, about 5 minutes after the 67 came out, half the fiberglass shops in the country were trying to make them.

put a wing on a 65-6 car and you will risk having it confiscated by the Mustang police.

That one 2+2 posted on the Shelby is probably the only spoiler/wing on a 65-66 Mustang I have seen that looks good.
