65 Side Vent Question

I finishing up some of the final prep work before I send my 65 fastback to the paint shop. Is it OK to sandblast the rear side vents? I know that these are made of aluminum and I am afraid of warping and ruining them. Is it safer to paint stripper as rust is obviously not a concern?

I would not sand blast the rear air extractor vents. They can be removed and hand worked with a stripper.
