I know I'm probably replowing an already covered topic so I'll make it short. I bought a Performer intake and a BBK 65mm TB. The TB opening on the intake is, I believe, 65mm? My car has only full exhaust, gears, pullies . . . This is the first "engine" bolt on that I have done. Shoud I have gone with a 70mm or will this 65 work OK? I'm not losing sleep over it - just curious. Thanks in advance.

Your fine. Don't lose any sleep, go back to bed I wish I could.

You can upgrade the TB down the road with a larger one once you put better heads and a nice cam in if you want.

The tb opening on that manifold is 70mm, but thats nothing a dremel can't fix.

Howdy.....I have the same configuration, runs very well.....in fact a little too much low end torque . I believe that 5.0 Mustangs did H/C/I swap a while back ("Stone Pony") and when they tested a 70mm against 65 mm it was exactly the same torque/hp curve. And oh, I believe that they used the Edelbrock Performer heads/Performer 5.0 intake/Performer Cam (E303)...so I guess you are good. eh?

I have a 65mm TB (FRPP) on my Performer intake with AFR heads and an FTI cam and the feel is great and it flows plenty...

This is my daily driver...

like mike said, that 65 will work good, but since you MIGHT do mods later down the road, try the 70 now.
