i am starting with an a code coupe. the body was rough but the floor and sub frame
is in very good shape. i will be keeping the front posts and window frame and the rear
door jamb every thing else will be trimmed off, i purchased all new sheet metal from
dynacorn along with the door structure for a 67 fast back the upper part of the door
frame is the same as the 65-66 but i will have to make some of the rear inner structure
heres a few pics of the start of the project.

horse sence,
You sir, are a maniac! If you were working on animals or humans, they would definitely lock your arse in jail and throw away the key. On the other hand, you gotta love a man not afraid to make a few sparks. If this comes out as well as your "coupe-vertble" my hat will off to you. I'm gonna assume that you don't do any fiddlin' with VIN numbers and that any buyers get full disclosure?
Just sayin'

Cool project! Plus, if you decide to quit now, you already have a Stangchero, so you can't go wrong!

just finnished trimming of the last of the coupe parts, what a job that was seems some one at ford decided to doble stack the spot welds. going to sandblast the areas that will be hidden and primer tomarrow. the little dodad on the hood of my convert is a self leveling lazer ,thats what i will be using to assemble the body, it levels verticly and horizonaly i adjusted the doors before dissasembly so it will aid in the fitting procedure. yea the convert is a real one probably shaking in it boots thinking i will be chopping on it next dont worry its safe

blasted and primed atleast were it will be hidden,
took half the day just to level it up ,kind of like a wet noodle.
started with the rear trunk brace, then the tail panel ,and on
to the rear seat divider this piece has to go in first or you wont get it in
in one piece., started out using my spot welder, that quit, then my air
body saw quit, and guess what my back up saw quit ,dont you think
tool throwing should be an olympic event? it could be judged by distance
and collateral damage, you know what it bounced off of. or you could just
haing your hat on it ,i mean its already sticking in the wall may as well
put it to some use. dont worry just held the camera crooked on this pic.

got the driver upper door jamb in and the rain gutter to. welded in the end of the quarter, made sure the end cap fit perfectly, mounted the rear quarter just welded
at the door jamb and across the bottom at the rocker and at the top of the quarter
need to be able to move the end of quarter and at the bottom of the window area
and tail panel ,wouldnt believe how ridgid the jamb area is. look how well the door
fits to the quarter. tomarrow the pass side and the lower rear window area, i will
be fitting the trunk lid and tail panel at the same time.

From what I remember reading you may want to trial fit the back glass before you weld it all into a fixed dimension...
