I've posted the question in the Sound Shop but I thought more of the right people may see it here. Sound Shop Post

Did you guys put the 4x10 dual voice coil or did you go with the two 3 1/2 speakers in the dash? I don't know who makes the 4x10 all I know is the advertised power handling is 120 watts (don't know if it's rms or peak probably crap if they don't say who makes it)

I’m just wondering if you all had any suggestions/recommendations.

dont buy either of those. If you MUST put speakers in the dash, but some good 3.5" like Infinity,MB Quart etc and make a mounting board for them. In my Fastback i have 4 4" 2 ways in the doors, 6.5" components in the kick panels and 2 10" Kicker L5's in a fiberglass box molded to the floor pan in the rear seat lower cushion area.

Thanks iskwezm, do the speakers in the kick panel interfere when you work the clutch or give you enough room to rest your foot when you're on the highway? I'm afraid I'll keep kicking them and getting garbage in the speakers if they're next to the clutch pedal.

the ABS kick panels really dont point to the driver, but you have yo use a shallow speaker, again the MB Quart fits nice. Mine have a bigger magnet and i had to use a 1/2 spacer. The tweeters i aimed up to get a little better sound. I have PLENTY of room for the clutch pedal. I have never kicked mine, but then again i dont jump in and out of the car.
