66 Quarter and Wheelhouse

I'm working on replacing the outer wheelhouse and quarter skin on my 66 Coupe. (both sides) Of course I've hit a snag... The wheelhouse half fits in inner half well enough but the wheelhouse doesnt gfit the 1/4 panel radius well at at.
The radius of the wheelhouse is at least two inches wider at the bottom where is meets the 1/4 panel.

Anyone have a similar experience? The too much orignal metal was gone for me to know which part has the correct raidus. I'd be inclined to trust the 1/4 panel but dont think I can bend the wheelhouse to fit.

the skin has priority over the interior panels. My panels and wheel well needed a little massaging to get them to fit as well.

I know I can massage the shape of the wheelhouse against in inner half. The same doesn't hold true on the 1/4 panel side. Massaging just wont do. I'll have to brute force fit this one. I'm guessing I can make some relief cuts in the radius against the 1/4 will allow me to make a new radius and then weld up the wheelhouse where the cuts were made.

I've had plenty of sheetmetal parts that didn't fit right but this is the worst I've come across so far.

my quarter had a crappy fit but my fiberglass deck lid and quarter extensions were way off.
