66GT hesitates when accelerating & shakes above 55-60?????

Afternoon Everyone,

I have a 66GT that when I punch it off the line it seems to bottom out and then slowly works it way back. Also when I get past 55-60 mph the car seems to stutter. I still have the stock condensor and points and will probably move to the Pertronix or Crane Cam electric points to see if that helps. Also I have recently replaced the vacuum advance because that was a suggestion from a friend. I am willing to try just about anything.

Your advice is appreciated !!!!

the first problem sounds like a bad accelerator pump. the second problem does sound ignition related, like the points are bad.
