Hi 'stangers! I just bought my first mustang預 1966 coup揺ere in Honolulu, Hawaii. I've been the 17-yr owner of a '74 bronco. Just as I learned to fix/work on the bronco as parts puttered out, I hope to learn about this little pony... with help from some of you, ideally. So thanks in advance. I'll do my best to not gloat about the weather, especially now, in the midst of winter.

My '66 is a 200ci 6-cyl, which I have to admit, I'm sort of digging. popular advice was to scrap the tiny engine and pop in a 302 or thereabouts... but the lack of roads to open up any car + really expensive gas in the islands = keeping the 200 and working her in to top shape. My new philly has 89,000 original miles, and came from south carolina only a year ago.

she doesn't have power brakes or steering; so I've been advised to make power brakes my first priority. that and new rear coil springs, since the previous owner beefed up the front (in prep of a new engine that never came). currently, she sits a wee bit high in the front, and I need to level her out.

cheers to you all, and I look forward to many a chat.

best,
