My console is cracked from the right radio knob hole to the outer edge of the face plate, which seems like a common weak spot on these consoles. Using epoxy, I tried gluing a backing plate to bridge the crack, but the epoxy did not adhere to the pot metal.

Has anyone successfully repaired a crack in the faceplate of a 67 center console? If yes, what adhesive did you use?

Or has anyone tried repairing pot metal using this method?...

I would try JB Weld. The other product you mentioned for pot metal probably works too, but never heard of it.

You will need to scuff up the metal to get the epoxy to adhere better.

Aside from that, it would be difficult to braze or do long term fix.
