67 Coupe body work and rust question

I am considering taking a swing at doing some of the body work myself on my 67 coupe project. My question is:

Is there a recommended book, or reference material for helping a person thru trying to learn and do their own "minor" body work?

Are there some recommended tools? I do have a compressor and a pot sprayer already.

Now for my rust question. I have having some sections of my floor replaced/welded in. And there are some sections that seem to have surface rust. Is there a method/product I can use to prevent or slow the spread of the rust?

Any other advice/experience is greatly appreciated.

there are quite a few books on body work available. Try some of the big book stores or go online. As far as surface rust goes, try a product made by Mar-Hyde. They make a converter that works well and does not require, but can be top coated. Also check out Eastwood.com

If its light surface rust, try to wire brush it off. If its pitted then the easiest solution is to convert the rust, I like Eastwood's Rust Converter. Good stuff.
