bought this from my dad. I'm not a mechanic,(I'm a calibration technician) but I want to fix this car up. I think she was a dragster at one point. My dad gave me pics of her when she was in her prime, and of the restoration problably done @88. He bought her in 90, I think when I was in Saudi. A note with pics says she had or has:auto trans C4, B&M strip shift kit, 3500 B&M super hole shot conv, detroit locker 9" rear end, 4:86 gears, 302(now back to a 289, thanks to my dad blowin the other), elec fuel pump, SS valves, crower roller rockers. Also she was wreaked in a ditch, I think by dads mechanic/softball bud. The front end is in need of work first. My brother in law is more of the mechanic type and is helping alot. Today he used a big grinder to remove weld of front bumper arm. He wanted to put it all together first to see how uneven it was I guess. Luckily my dad had/has some extra parts(he had 2 67's at one point and I think the guy that wreaked her payed for some new thiner metal parts). Having problems removing bolt but he says he'll be back with a tool to do it. This may take awile.

Front end is uneven. Bolt weld of front arm removed, left half bolt w/nut on inside of frame. Unable to get bolt out. I'm told we can cut it shorter and let it fall in there and stay if it dont wiggle out.

Does anyone know what kind of holley carb this is? Kind of embarassing but I didn't know it has a switch for the fuel pump. A friend tweaked the carb and I think he messed it up cause my dad started it right up. At first I thought I just had to leave fuel pump on when starting it(It would die after 5-10 seconds either way and wouldn't start again and I could smell fuel if I left it on). Now I'm told I can find out how many turns Idle and the other one should be from full cw or ccw. please help.

Good potential there! Any rust problems? I notice Texas license plates, is it a "Rust Free Texas Car"??? I hear that a lot, but I never saw one. Stay on it, don't take 3 1/2 years like mine has taken. Mine is just coming together, it sat so long the last time I almost sold it!
