67 options

I am VERY VERY new to mustangs I just bought a 67 hardtop with a 289 V2, automatic transmission, power steering, power disk breaks and Ac. I was just wondering how rare this is? Any information about this car and any suggestions on any other aspect of the car will be greatly appreciated. Thank you :D

The plate one the door is missing but I found a plate behind the grill that has the VIN number that matches the inner fender and some information it. It has 65A Z 296 2A AC RM PB I have found what some of this is and it matches what I see on the car but I can’t find any reference to some of the information any ideas?

Where is a good source to find out what was standard equipment and what options where available on the 1967 coupe. Also is their more than one company printing shop manuals for this car if so which one is the best? Thank you again for all your help

That tag is probably the body 'buck' tag - basically used during the assembly of the car for the line workers to know what options to put on. There is no set standard for the abbreviations - Power Disk Brakes could be PB or PDB or DB's... it varied depending on who made the tag.

As for what is standard and what are options... well - if I wanted to be a smart alec I'd say that a standard coupe was a 200 inline six, 3spd - every thing else was an option :p ... but your best bet is to check with one of the many Mustang parts vendors out there - there is a series of books that delves into each specific year mustang with just the information you are looking for. - I think it retails between 5 and 10 bucks.
