I have an overheating issue in my 65 stang. I have a 180 degree thermostat and a 2 row 1" Griffin radiator. I live in Phoenix. It will run appx 195- 200 in the summer. Then I put an A/C in it. With the A/C off it overheats 210-230. It seems like the A/C condenser blocks just enough air flow to allow it to get hot. I have tried diferent fans, electric from Hot Rod Air, Flex fan & a stock 6 blade fan. I also installed an R model front apron to get the max air flow through it. Didn't help. I was thinking about installing a 3 row crossflow Fluidyne radiator for a 67. It gets plenty hot here so I don't really have to worry about overdoing it. How much work is it to install the larger radiator?? everything else is in perfect working order.
