67 speedometer rebuild

Has anyone rebuilt a speedometer for a 67 and is there anything to pay extra close attention to? The trip dials in mine are not lining up right and since I am putting a new engine in I would like to put it back to 0.

It is possible to pull the drum and spin it back to zero. This is often illegal, however, as it indicates mileage on the vehicle, not the engine.

Good point, Any thoughts on fixing the trip dials?

Depends why they're misaligned. If the wheels are binding from dirt and/or lack of lubrication, and clean up OK, and you lube them with gun oil, they'll probably line up in use. Easy to check.
