Has anyone installed a header back 2 1/2 inch flowmaster system in a 69 or 70 convertible? They say it can be installed with an h-pipe modification. I'm interested in how you made it fit correctly between the seat frame connectors.
I installed a 351C, C6 and a 3 1/2 inch aluminum driveshaft. Not much room left and I still need to install the subframe connector in some way.

Thanks

I had my system custom bent, as I had an AOD bhind the 5.0.

Your car has more stuff, so it will be a tight fit.

Custom time.

Thanks, I'm guessing I'll have to take it in to have it custom fit. I was hoping someone had done it and could tell me how before I started cutting things up.

Only the convertible. This exhaust would fit perfectly in a fastback or coupe.

Thanks, not much different from below. Do you have any issues with the exhaust being below the frame? Any power issues with running a straight thru dual exhaust without an h-pipe?

To be quite honest.im not savy enough to notice powerwise.im learning though.i havent had any problems that your average person would notice power wise.i actually inherited the car from my father.as for it being below the frame no issues as of yet.there are a few parking lots i have gotten nervous in that had high speed bumps.im not sure why he chose to run the exhaust that way.im guessing when the old engine was gone.the big block 521 crate motor that was put in it may have had clearance issues.
