6G alternator ?'s

what bracket mods are necessary to install a 6G alternator on my 90 5.0? i know that its a 130 amp alternator, and that it fits 01-04 mustang 3.8 v6. i have the wiring figured out, i just need to know about the bracket. thanks!
:SNSign:

I would just take the old one off and put the new one on the mount with the long bolt and swing it over onto the mount and see where it hits and trim away at the bracket where needed.

Thats how I made my 3G fit.

i guess ill have to do that...im watching a couple used ones on ebay right now. i dont have one yet though, i have a powermaster, which is basically a gm 10si style with a one wire setup. maybe i should just get another one wire (self exciting) regulator and fix that...although it might go out again...hmm

I have the 6g in my car. When using the 6g there is no trimming of the bracket necessary. The 6g is smaller then the 3g and it fits right in with some room to spare.

so you just bolted it right in?..... any modifications when it comes to the pulley? and also was it a pain to wire?

just wondering if its diff than the 3g

I just used the pulley that came on the alternator when i bought it. Its easier to hook up then the 3 g. Less wires. You totally omit that 1 black/white wire, and just use the two voltage regulating wires.
