I've searched, but not found answers to this one.

Is there any difference to the glass dimensions between a 69 and 70? Could you take a 69 window and veeeeeery carefully (with a glass bit) drill holes in it to bolt it in like a 70 window glass?

I have found that you can just replace 69 door glass with 70 stuff, if it is a sportsroof, but not so with coupes and verts.

I seem to remember reading something on the net that it could be done, but can't find diddly now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dimensionally there is no difference whatsoever, sportroof, coupe and vert are all interchangable within their own body type provided you use the 70's track as well. Obviously a 70' window would glue into a 69' track, but i can't think of any good reason to do that.

Assuming your question means that you have a 70' track and for some reason you want to mod an exisiting 69' piece of glass for it, I guess anything is possible, but car glass is desigend to shatter on impact and drilling it would likely require more patience and skill then the average guy posesses. Because so many over the years have abandoned their 69' glass and raped the 70's for them some new companies have finally started to repro the tracks and glass just this year for a pretty reasonable price. I forget who exactly is doing it, but it was in MM a few months ago and I'm sure I could find the info if you need it.

If someone is reproducing the glass then that's a better solution. From my research it seemed like the glass that was out there is all the glass that is left, and 70 windows were dwindling because of lots of people doing the swap.

Thanks for the info, and if anyone happen across the people that make it, please post it here.

Check out the website www.MuscleCityGlass.com they have replacement glass for thousands of vehicles.

They list a new conversion from 69 to 70 windows with regulators included for $279.00 each door. :nice:

I dunno, my brain's starting to hurt, I think all the mustang tidbits are filling up my skull and creating too much pressure. lol

do what i did, have a relief valve installed by the doc.........it only relieves everyday life info so you don't loose mustang stuff...........now if i could just figure oul who this kid is........... :rlaugh:

Hey cool, maybe I can get a blow-off valve that releases pressure once it reaches a certain level.

I'll be able to cruise the web reading stuff and going BSSSSCHHH as the pressure gets too high. :D

What's with loud blow-offs too? I mean what a load of wank factor. You actually have options to get ones that make the sound louder.

Sorry, just ranting about ricers.
