Good Day To All,
What is the actual difference between 68/69 center/drag link and 70? From what I can gather, they use the same pitman and idler arms but use different tie rod ends. I am assuming that all that is different are the size and/or taper of the holes for the tie rod end studs. I have a buddy who wants to convert his 70 coupe from stock power steering to manual for now and probably a Borgeson power box down the road, when he can afford it (on a tight budget) and I have an extra 68 manual center link that I can give him. From what I can tell, it seems that he can use the 68/69 center link as long as he uses 68/69 inner tie rod ends, as all 67 thru 70 appear to use the same tie rod adjusting sleeve. Am I correct in my assumptions or just piddlin' in the wind and causing him issues. This guy manages a great machine shop here in town and I really want to help him out for all the great service and advice that he gives. Any and all thoughts and comments will be appreciated.
Thanx In Advance,
Gene
