I'm installing '70 disk brakes on the front of my '65. Got the new rotors on, adusted the bearings, but the adjusting nut doesn't clear the cotter pin hole. All replacement parts (rotors, bearings, etc.) seem identical to original. The rotor feels solid, spins well, and shows no end play. Any ideas?

The only thing I can suggest is one or more of the bearing races aren't seated all the way in the hole.

I agree with mr Hearne, assuming you have all 1970+ parts as the 70 spindle is larger. That said, I would think you couldn't get that far if you didn't have 70+ parts so it does sound like the races aren't quite seated.
