75mm tb question

Yes it will bolt on. But it wont match up with the stock adapter as thats 60mm. So by doing this you create a 15mm wall for air to hit and cause a disturbance in flow.

like they said its pointless at this moment in time. the opening behind the tb on the stock intake manifold is not big enough to accept the larger diameter throttle body. it would need to be taken off the car and opened up with a dremel or something (to 75mm). the results would be miniscule and not worth the cost/effort. for the $180 you would spend on the tb i would buy an off road mid pipe for now if the car is stock instead

I think it'll do more harm than good in this case, as Grn92LX pointed out. Most aftermarket intakes are machined for 70mm tb's, but you can always port match them. There's nothing wrong with getting parts little by little and collecting a pile of parts to put on over a weekend or something, when all the parts will work together properly. If it were me, I'd start by saving up for a good intake and buy the tb to match at the same time. Just my $0.02

Tb or Maf ain't gonna do much for you when your close to stock cause you just don't move enough air yet.

Get ya some gears ... best gain for the buck spent ;)

Unlike the tb ... some steep gears will put a big ole grin on ya :D

He hit the nail right on the head! I wouldn't go any bigger than a 65mm TB.

You can buy it...but there's really no point in putting it on until you have the supporting parts

I think this thread is a bout done

zero signal: odd that you didn't notice any gains from the intake. did you have less restrictive exhaust also? I noticed a substantial difference from my performer with the stock heads...not to say my next mods aren't MAF, TB and heads...oh wait...I need 3.73s still :bang:
