79-86 weight

I've seen quite a few 87-93 mustang weights & am trying to find one on 79-86 gt hatch, lx hatch, & notch. I don't need to know the convertable weights.

1986:

2795-2853 lbs


1982:

2568-2636 lbs

My car fully loaded with a half tank of gas weighed just under 3100 lbs. I could easily get it under 3000lbs.

so i'm guessing all or most of the weight in the 79-86 was based off of the engine.

Yes. When my car had a turbo 4 it weighed 2700lbs.
