79 cobra turbo

Just picked up a low mileage 79 cobra turbo for dirt... got a couple quick questions what years 2.3 can i pull the computer and efi from to use on this block? the car is pretty ugly so i wanna do like a svo clone thanks for any help

It will take much more than just the computer and wiring. You'll also need to get the EFI intake with injector, VAM air meter, turbo, exhaust manifold and lots of other small parts. Basically, you can keep your short block and head, but that's about all.

The carb turbo setup has the turbo in a different location, thus there are a lot of parts that you need to get. The EFI 2.3 turbo was made from 84 to 88 and came in thunderbirds, mustangs, merkurs and cougars.
