I can't seem to find the thread I'm looking for. I could have swore people were telling me to get the 86 vert mounts. Well, I went to autozone today and picked up the mounts. They look like the right size but, there is a stud (dowel pin) that looks like it fits in a hole on the k member. My hole is on the opposite side. Anyone try this before? Do I have to drill a hole in my K Mem? It's a 79 mustang.

Went to autozone again. The mounts for the 79 are much cheaper than the mounts for a 86 vert. Will it hurt the K-Mem if I drill an additional hole so I can use the vert mounts? Does anyone have a pic of there K-mem on a 86 so I have an idea how big to drill the hole?
