Well, second real trip out with the new setup yesterday. Including several start-ups at work for people that wanted to hear it run, and 2 beat runs to give buddies a ride it still got 8.6mpg. I still have a cruising speed driveability issue to fix too. So when all said and done, I "should" be able to get 10-12mpg normal driving :spot:

Mike.

FWIW, acceleration through 1st/2nd can only be describes as pleasantly violent :rlaugh:

:D :nice:

"Pleasantly violent"...Can I use that quote? I love the "snap, crackle, pop" of a hot naturally aspirated engine. Of course, I love the screaming turbo of some of those Pro-5.0 & SSO cars, too. Oh heck, I love 'em all. Glad to hear you've got the beast in good running form. "Here, Chevy, Chevy, Chevy...hehehe."

I'm Going To Have To Use That Phrase!
First Time I Trully Ran My 408 thru 1,2 & 3 I coudn't stop shaking afterward's! It's not that it scared me, it's just such a rush of power.... it's a feeling hard to explain.

Great To hear you got your problem's sorted out 5.0HOtrain and she's running good. But Hey 10MPG aint that bad for a 581HP Stroker!
