8.8 Rear Diff

ok guys !! i got a 1966 fastbackand i got my 8.8 out of the explorer cut the housing , new bearings ,rotors,brakes all the good stuff . my ? is what u bolt plates are we using ?? or are we modifing the explorer plates to work for the mustang shocks or what shock are we using ??

I'll have to look in the file at home to see if I can find a receipt.
If I recall, I just called them and told them I needed a set of 2 1/2" wide spring perches to fit a 3 1/4" axle tube. You can't use the explorer perches, they are on the top of the tube, you need them on the bottom. By the time you cut them off and try to save them, you are money ahead getting new. I think they were around $25 shipped, but then I am only 60 miles from them.

Sorry, found the receipt for my axles, but nothing for the spring perches...

we are talking about 2 differenty things !! i already got my perches welded on . im talking about the plates that the ubolts go thru that your shocks bolt too .

My bad! I just drilled new holes in the original stang plates on the correct centers and used the explorer u-bolts.

thanks !! i guess i didnt think of that ! duh i was wrecking my brain and just didnt look at the obvious !! sometimes the easy answer is looking right at u !! thanks again!
