I just got a 1993 LX with a 2.3 NA engine. I am planning on putting a 5.0 HO (from who knows where?) into it and figure that if the stock rear end isn't replaced at the same time as the engine, it won't be long before I would have to anyway. So, the only rear axle I have ever messed with had to do with a crown vic axle oil seal. It took me 3 days to find out how to do it and 2 hours to actually do it. I figured someone here might quicken my progress on this used 8.8 axle I just got. It looks like it, at the very least needs a new seal at the input shaft just behind the driveshaft. Are there any tricks I should know in order to proceed (maybe point to the thread where someone has already asked)? Thanks.
