The spiders and pin in my car were damaged so I bought a used set from a friend of a friend & long story short mine are 10 tooth and the ones I got from him are 11 tooth spiders. Did they make different count side gears and spiders? All I can figure is maybe they are out of an open 8.8 diff. Any ideas or help appreciated

Since no one else is, I'll step out up with a gut answer instead of an absolutely sure answer.
As a general rule, sticking things in rear ends that don't belong there is a bad idea.
Unless someone will confirm they are the same thickness and will mesh fine, I doubt a different tooth count on the spider gear is a good idea. A new, Ford traction lock differential is available for not a whole lot, and the right tooth count gears should be easy to obtain used.
