From what I've heard, some of the later dual plug heads are the best flowing stock heads out there, but I'm not sure what years. Your best bet would be to block the driver's side plug holes if you want to run one.

I don't know about the small spring/big spring thing there.

I've heard that it's nothing but a bad idea to put the dual plug head on a turbo, as it's designed for higher compression, but isn't very strong, so it would bust under boost.

What?! I haven't been on here in a long time, but as I remember, the dual plug head was always panned as not moving enough air...what prompted this revelation?

The dual plug won't "bust under boost", that's for sure.

The early DP head (what we find on our mustangs and 95 or earlier Rangers is a poor flowing, heart shaped chamber POS. The later DP head (like my 97 ranger) does flow "slightly" better than a turbo head in stock form but doesn't outflow the turbo head once both are ported. The other problem with the later DP head is it has smaller valve stems and no aftermarket valves are available for it.
