8" rim OK for some MT 26/10/15 ET Drags ?

I've had those slicks now since last December but never used them. Mickey Thompson recommends like a 10" wheel for those rims...That seems a lot but I'd like some feedback from those who used the 26/10/15 ET Drags on an 8in wheel. Are those too small ? I'm looking to buy some cheap Bart wheels on Summit for them.

I run 8" Wheels with a 26x10x15" ET Drag

I do have some unstability ( side-side whobble), but with a slick ( no material to sidewalls), this probably is common. I dont run tubes, so that could also be the reason.

Thanks Oink. I'm asking because I'm worried about unstability with the slicks. Like you said, all slicks do that but there's ways to help your cause by choosing the right size of rim.

Anybody else ?

15x8's with 26x10x15 ET drags/tubes, no problems for me with side to side wobble. I also have no swaybars fornt or rear.

I have the wobble at 100mph+ with 10-11psi

Yea, I've ran Weld 15x8 wheels with 26x10s on them without a problem without tubes. When you start running really low Tire pressure then you will need to start running tubes. The lower the tire pressure the more unstable your car will be. (Side to side that is) But you want to run as much tire pressure as you can that will still allow you to hook up.

I just picked up those 2 wheels on Ebay. What do you guys think ? Those should do the job find.
(2) 15 x 8.5" polished (chrome??)

If they're straight, I'd say you couldn't go wrong for 20 bucks. I'm not sure how much that brand weighs (polished chrome?), so if they are not a lightweight then those rims wouldn't have been my first choice but then again 20 bucks, they'll get 'er done.

Thats what I told myself..for 20$. I emailed the guy before the auction ended about the weight of the wheels. He said about 15 pounds each. Propably wrong but lets say 20pounds. Not bad.
