well i posted awhile ago about my car acting up, i had changed the fuel pump, regulator, andwould idle like chit, well you guys said change the spark plug wires and that was it, well that same day after idleling, it started to try and die out on it's own, i pulled the plugs and there where fouled so i cleaned them, then started it again, 20 minutes later i pulled the plugs again and all were still clean EXCEPT for number 8...it was fouled again and smelled like fuel, is this a stuck injector? will that make the car start and idle like total crap and then die out?

sorry, I would have responded sooner but I've been starring at yer Avatar for about 10 min now.lol..

Do you have the equipment to do a compression check to rule out a head gasket leak? Also could be that water gallery on the intake gasket and that coolant is getting into your mixture. Could be an injector but I think it's less likely. Exactly what does the plug look like? i.e. dry/wet/black/white/green/oily/powdery etc...?

LOL on the avatar

OK the plugs are kinda wet and black, i have not done a compression check but the intake gasket i just replaced because thats what i thought it was too, it's only the number 8 cylinder too so im confused, do you think it's a head gasket? there is no visible coolant in the oil.

So you did replace the intake gasket? Did you examine the old gasket? Did you use a sealant around the water jacket next to that intake port? Have you run the car since you did that? I don't necessarily think that its a head gasket leak, but it is possible to have a leak near a water jacket that lets coolant into the cylinder but not oil.
