Yep, its true. I placed my order over 8 weeks ago. I still have no VIN number For those of you that have ordered and received a VIN can you let me know how long it took? I think I am going to give the dealer one more week. If nothing then I may cancel and go elsewhere Any advice??

Thanks!

Its not unheard of...I ordered 8/21 and got a VIN the last week of Oct. Then two weeks later was my scheduled build week. Just ask your dealer when he will have allocation for your order to be pulled...if he says he dosen't know he is lying!! They know exactly how many they are allocated each week and could atleast tell you that. Good luck, mine was supposed to be here today but it dosen't look like I will get it until after the holiday.

I spoke to the dealer and he said because he is in the Mid-West his allocations for Mustangs are much less then other dealers. Which makes sense I guess. When I asked him when his next allocation was going to be he said he did not know. Do they really know? He did tell me I was next in line for allocation. So thats good I guess. Well, as long as allocation comes sooner rather then later. I have never ordered a car before so I really was not sure what to expect.

Yeah thats what they told me today too, then she said they dont get as many mustangs as other dealers, because they sell them so cheap.I said that is stupid, why would that make any difference, in when and how many you get. Ford could care less what any dealers sells there car for.Because ever dealer pays ford roughly the same amount. But I will keep waiting because it was a good deal,it is winter anyways, and if I cancelled and re-ordered somewhere else it would proably bump to the end of the line at that dealer also.

Yeah that dont make any sense. Jason actually called me after I sent them a fax telling them I may cancel if I dont hear anything by end of next week. I wasnt trying be a jerk or anything just stated the facts as to what others are experiancing. I suppose I will wait it out a little longer. Just have to see.
