Will the K-member, a arms, rack and pinion, spindels, brake setup from a 83 mustang v8 hatch work on a 87 mustang v8 coupe?

I need front end parts and I found this complete parts car for $150.

Let me know

Thanks!

yes but.........1983 cars have the same set-up for breaks as do 87-93 4 bangers. you would be installing 4 cyl brakes. bad idea. the 5.0L set-up is already a iffy set-up don't go backwards. my 86 is the last year with the 4cyl set-up. kinda nice because my 86 parts swap with my wifes 88 vert 4 banger. i'll be getting 87-93 spindles and brake set-up soon for my car.

not sure bout powersteering rack. can't imagine why they wouldn't work however this is ford we are talking about sometimes they changed parts mid stream. you could have a 93 that doesn't fit 93 parts. sometimes i envy chevy guys.

Pretty much can I just unbolt the four bolts in the k-member and drop the whole front susupension including the rack from the 83 and bolt it back up in my 87 as a complete setup. Not to worried about the 4 banger brakes right now just want to get it rolling.

I believe that the older stuff also has different geometry that is quite a bit less desirable than the later cars. Should phisically bolt up but they are not the same. And then of course the brake issue thats already been mentioned.

And the steering could be either as far as I know but I would bet that if the 83 was a V8 car, it will have a power rack. If by chance it did have a manual rack, you would need to change the steering shaft as well I believe, so grab that as well.
