Anybody now the engine specs on a 85 351w. Like compression ratio and things like that. Or a good website that has all of that info. I have been looking everywhere and I can not find anything.

compression ratio isnt gonna be anything spectacular, prob 8.5-9.0 at best, the rods and crank are tough as ****, thats what me and all my buddies run in our hopped up 351's.

clean up the block crank rods, put good forged pistons and a top end and you have a killer motor

whats it out of? LTD or truck? stock they werent much in the way of power (HO truck version made 210hp, same as the mustang 5.0) but either way its a good place to start

I was thinking about freshing it up, putting some 10.5-11.5 pistons in it. Then throwing on my edelbrock RPM heads and go from there.

Are these blocks actually any stonger than the 302s?
