A couple of things...did you actually read what I wrote? You said you had never seen a ricestang, and I gave you several examples, and I do see a lot of them. I know that not all V6 Stangs are rice, and I unless I am mistaken, I never said that they were all rice. I just don't care for them, or consider them high performance performance cars.

From looking at the time slips, they are indeed respectable cars, hell, at least one of you guys has an 11 second car, but that thing's got a blower, etc., etc. on it, and that's actually kind of cool.

As for being another arrogant V8 guy that thinks he can't get beat by V6..there is a reason for that...IT'S NEVER HAPPENED.

Personally, I'd never own a V6 Mustang...it sort of defeats the purpose of having one, for me, but again, different strokes for different folks, heck, there are even people that actually LIKE the Mustang II, or even Crapmaro's...go figure.

The better question is..did you actually read what I wrote? Show me where I said I've never seen a riced out Stang. So far as your story goes, racing a Buick is just plain stupid whether you win or not. I'd much rather have the riced out Integra than a huge boat. I get this strange feeling you must be about 45-50 years old... At any rate, the foxbody forums are right over there......P.S.- Foxbodies in stock form are NOT high performance vehicles. Just to catch the new GT's you have to throw on a bunch of mods..not to mention what you'd need to catch a late model Z28 "crapmaro" as you say.

You're right, it was another V6 guy that said that, so I do apologize for crediting you with the misquote.

There, you just proved in my mind that you are indeed a moron. At least in the Buick, you can own the Integra, and still have room to shag in a heated leather seat.

FYI, 32, and the Buick was a company car...I drive the 03 Marauder now as a company ride...and as cool as it is, I think that Buick was actually quicker. The crack about a stock foxbody not being a high performance vehicle proves, yet again, that at least one V6 owner is a moron. From 1987-1993, the 5.0 DOMINATED the street and strip. The only thing that a 5.0 owner really worried about was a Buick Grand National or someone with some old school iron whipping him...IROC's and Z28's weren't even a challenge.

A lightly modded 5.0 has no prayer against an LS1 car, unless you consider a 150 shot a slight mod . A 99-04 4.6 GT is another matter entirely. They are good performers, but a New Edge car without a poweradder is easily taken care of with only slight mods, a stock 99-04 GT is a high 13 second car at BEST...most people can't get that out of one, so let's say low 14's...easily attainable on ANY 5.0 in good shape...been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt.

That was one of the stupidest things I have heard in a while. Fox body mustangs not high performance vehicles when stock? Wow, since when has mid 14 second cars become not high performance?

Not only that, but the majority of them (87-92) had all forged internals and withstood 8-12 psi of boost, or a 150-175 shot of silly gas all day long....take it for what it's worth from a V6 driver...heck, even the 93-95's with Hyperpathetic pistons have taken on boost and N2O and lived to tell the tale.

I think some of these guys have been playing too much PS2 or something.

2 V8 guys in the V6 forums acting like their internet bada$$es...same different day. Anytime your argument comes down to personal insults and name calling, it's clear that you can't carry on a halfway decent conversation and you're not worth my time. Just so you know, I had a 01 GT prior to my V6. I ditched it b/c of people like you who wanted me to put my V8 up against a Civic "to prove how bada$$ it is dawg." No thanks. If you want to impress me, my friends got a supercharged 99 Trans-Am WS.6 that pushes 600 rwhp. I'd like to see that race, you know, "performance car to performance car" and everything. People like you represent the stereotypical V8 Mustang driver and due to my experiences with people such as yourself, I will NEVER be purchasing another Mustang. I've been given props on my car from guys driving $35k anniversary T/A's and even the Chevy boys. I find it's the V8 Stangers that think their car is the fastest thing on the road. When I joined this site, I had a lot of respect for every kind of Mustang, having owned a 1981 four banger as my first car. But after getting on here and seeing how the majority of the V8 guys act, you couldn't buy me a GT and make me drive it. I'm sure I'll be purchasing a V8 for my next vehicle, but it will most likely be a T/A or a Camaro. Enjoy your ego trip.

You know Jamez, I went through the V6 forum, and did a lot of reading, and from what I saw, every V6 in here uses the 5.0 as a measuring stick for performance. Come to think about it, just about everyone (from ricey honda's to blowin and goin LS1's, to big block classic iron) uses the 5.0 as a a stamdard of performance to measure themselves against...I wonder why that is?

It's probably because they really aren't performance cars...
