I see I am not the first with this issue but I would love it if it were a short bolt or just broken off at the head. oh no, not that easy. instead, I broke one of the longest ones that goes to the ps pump. It broke at the place the threads start so mine is probably 4" in the engine. thoughts on how to approach a break like that? I don't see how to get a bit in that far without causing other issues. I am not opposed to the helicoil fix if I can get that deep (seems doubtful) and if I do something like this, I would not know when to stop drilling very accurately...concerning. This is the stupidest design and lack of thought of metal compatibility [automotive engineer being slapped int he background]. any help is appreciated.
