Will the 87+ wiper blades fit on my 86? The stock ones suck. They are too short and don't really do much. If the 87+ mustang ones won't fit, are there any other Ford models that will fit? It seems to me that the mounting points for the blades have been fairly the same on Fords for many years, but I'm just looking for a definitive answer

Well, they may be the exact wiper, I don't know, but i figured they might have updated them with longer ones when they updated other things on the 87+ ones. I just want something that will maybe swing a bit farther and clear more than like a 6 inch spot on my window.

should be the same wiper length. what yoru gonna wanna do is go to the parts store, find the size, up it 2" tops. but get some good wipers (trico teflons, rain-x, etc etc). buying cheap wipers is a waste of time/money.

also, spend $3 and get some rain-x treatment, you will enjoy that!!!

Rain-x is the bomb!! I use that stuff on every window in all my cars and i can usually drive through a good rain storm on the highway and not have to turn on the wipers, and if i do it's on the lowest delay setting. This also lets your wiper blades last longer since they're not being used as much.

Yeah Rain-X owns. I love it. Haven't used it in a while, but I will probably invest in it for this car. Thanks for the input about the blades too.

the best blades i have used, and still have had on my car a while are Michelin ones....

they are the only wiper i've had that doesnt skip across the glass

and...like was said before, you can get longer blades, but only like 2". I think the stock size is 16", so that'd mean go with a 18", and that might hit the corner of the trim on the passenger side, but if you take the arm off and rotate it up a few notches it'll help it not hit anything
