86 Fox 351w Supercharged

My brother owns a 1986 mustang it has a 351w wit a supercharger.......while the car is in neutral the rpm's can go up with no problem as soon as u get moving in gear n get around 2000rpm's it starts bogging n back fireing as long as u keep it at a low rpm it will go......any suggestions on what could be causing this issue????
