How wide do you REALLY need to go, yo can fit 325's out back without a tub if you have the right combo. Totally un-needed work
I do as well, but you dont need to do the work unless your car truly needs it.
Cutting out of the rear subframe and pan, and welding in extended wheel tubs for a wider tire.

That being said(so i can say this again) Wide tires out back are awesome, but why go through all the work of a mini tub when you dont need it. Most every time i here about someone doing a mini tub its only so they can run 315 tires out back. Stick with a tire thats usable and actually cost effective, you'll be rethinking your tire choices when you find out how expensive those tires are. Spend your money on other parts of the car that is actually needed.
Not to doubt you or anything but how did you get a 315 on your car? I have 275 drag radial on a 15x10inch wide rim and thats with the quad shock off and some rubbing with a hammer on the inner fender well. I have it sitting right where it needs to be without the tire sticking to far out where it looks re-tarted. I am just curious bc I would like to run on 315 with out mini-tub. Again not doubting you just wondering.

from what ive read, they will fit but it is very close and you have to have pretty much the perfect backspacing on the wheel for it to look right. also, if 315s are also on a 10" wheel,the 315 tire really wouldnt look to be that much bigger than a 275. again im not an expert on this situation, hopefully someone else will chime in. i stuck a 10.5 cobra R with a 315 nitto under my car with the quads still on and i know it wasnt anywhere near to clearing. but that quad kills a lot of room under there so who knows?

I dont have 315s i have 275s, but still have a good 3" in the inside of the rim. You need to have fox length axles, with a proper offset rim. You'll also need to beat in your fenders.

Ditch the quads and throw real suspension parts out back and they will fit. 315 is overkill anyhow.

im gonna agree with everyone else and say a 315 is going to be an overkill, especially with a mostly stock motor. stick to a smaller tire, if you get something stickey enough, your still going to hook.

Who cares if he wants to do a mini tub, he was also talking about putting a cage in in, so id guess he is planning on drag racing, if thats the case the mini tub would work well to get the suspension right the first time.
Not sure what size 325 you were talking about but a 325/50/15 will "fit" but it in my opinion it wont fit right on a street car, if i was only taking it to the track i would run it, but on a street car no way. Mini tub, narrowed rear and you can get the tire nice and tucked in and have the car sit nice and low
