Ok here we go. I found the vacuum leak and replaced all the vacuum lines. I cleaned the engine and reinstalled the upper intake. I still have the thermatcor codes but I think I have traced the thermatcor issues down to the ECC. I did get 2 new codes today.

54 and 63 fpr the koeo tests. I found that the ACT was filled with water and I did move the TP sensor. What size is the ACT sensor so I can get the right sensor socket.

KOER tests have the smae 94, 44, and 33 codes that go back go thermactor.

The engine still runs like crap. I reser the timing and without the sprout it runs fine but as soon as I insert the sprout the engine hunts for idle and will even stall out.

What happens when the sprout is reinserted? I think I may get a new computer from the bone yard, saw 2 SD cars in there this past week. I was also thinking of getting a TPS and ACT sensor. Any other ideas or opinions?

BTW I have gone through the surge checklist thats why I am at this point now.

OK fixed this beast.. All codes with the exception of the thermactor and EVP ones that have been there from the start have been eliminated. The surging has been resolved. The issue stems from a bad harmonic balancer. It appears that the ring slipped and when setting the timing I was actually setting it too far in advanced. I set it by ear and feel and things are running mcuh better. Time to buy a new balancer.

Thanks
