I know someone that works at a GM dealership and they have a vette for sale. How would this stand up aginst my car. It is in beautiful shape but looks mostly stock. I don't know if I could trade my car in for it since it has a low HP rating of 230 and 330 torque with a five speed tranny and have done alot to my car already.

try not to flame me since we are talking about GM here.
Thanks,
tom

86? i heard theyre not that fast, but a vette is a beautiful car. I bet your car would take one tho, id stick with the stang, but if you like the vette, go for it, theyre both awesome cars

Tom, before you make yourself nuts, i would go drive it. might be a step down in power for ya, and 10 years older.

i might add a vette to the stable, but i would not trade your nice ride in on one. just my thinking. good luck. BTW, got a 4th gen camaro, so no flames from me.

I guess it depends on how badly you want to have Mustangs handing your ass to you...

80's Vettes had very questionable build quality, in addition to low horsepower. Personally I wouldn't go any older than '97 if I wanted a Vette (can you say 2001 Millenium Yellow Z06... )
