Hey, ordered these cobra pedal covers from 5.0resto, it said they would fit all 87-93 mustangs, but when i went to install them, i put the pedal cover over the gas pedal and it was way too big. Where you were supposed to drill the holes, it was just air. Maybe cobras came with a larger gas pedal? Cause i have a gt. The brake and clutch fit fine, just the gas pedal. Any suggestions?

Cobras did not have larger gas pedals. Automatics have small pedals and sticks have larger. But either way you should still be able to screw them on. These are the ones I have.

Probably a dumb response but are you sure your not putting the dead pedal cover over the gas pedal? Ya never know and sometimes its the simple things. Good luck
are you the original owner? it sounds like your car was originally and auto and when whoever did the swap the didnt bother swapping to the 5sp pedal
89sleeper -- autos had smaller pedals and the stick cars had larger pedals this was the case regardless of modle (4cyl, 8cyl, lx, gt, or cobra)

No, i'm not the original owner. I didn't think it was a conversion, but maybe it is. I know the guy that had it before me put in the tremec transmission and the pro 5.0, but i thought it was just T-5 before that. Thanks for the info though. Where can i get a 5 speed pedal, what's installation like? Thanks.
just hit up any junk yard, shouldnt cost more than $15-$20
intall is easy just two bolts at the pivot and the cable attaches at the top
