not to sure if i am posting it in the right place but here it goes.
i currently working on a 88 lx hatch. but since i have seen so many mustangs around my area like that i was thinking of going back to 86 gt bumper(4 eyed)
anyways my question is this:
1.what would i need to convert in to the 86 bumper.
so far its a 86 gt bumper and lights!
2. would i need some bracket too?

 wait till Daggar sees this thread, hes gonna love you! :)

anyway, your gonna need a front bumper, the headlight brackets ($120 +/- from 50resto), the headdlights, fog lights and that should be about it.

You don't need new fenders.

You'll need the nose and the matching hood, plus the bumper support and some headlight wiring. Be prepared to be lynched by your fellow 'stang lovers...people arent very fond of nose swaps, but i say do what you love, it's your car...i did.

That's rediculous! He's swaping TO a 4 eye... not away from it. LOL:Teh-Win:

Will need to swap out the fender extenions also. The 87-93 LX extenions are shaped different than the 85-86's.

Basic list,

Hood,
Bumper cover with headlight panel,
Bumper, or modify the 87+ to fit and make hole for the turn signals.
fender extenions,
The plugs for the headlights.(can be bought in the help section of Advance),
The 2(L&R) front molding pieces that go between the front wheel and bumper cover, so they match fromthe bumper cover.

That is pretty much it, he also needs the bumper shocks off a 4-eye the wirign for the headlights. The plugs for the turn signals and corner markers are the same 83-93, they fit right in. You need the fender extensions, bumper cover headlight brackets, hood, other than that it is a direct swap. If you wanna do it correctly you need all of the molding as said before and a back bumpercover from the same year car to get the molding to match up,.

Yea no kidding, but believe me, the aero crowd cries about it just as much, either that or the die hard 4 eye guys are will cry that it's a fake, and that you should have just built up the car that the nose came from. Trust me, i've heard it all. My last car was an '83 with an '87+ GT conversion, and i didnt even convert it...it came to me like that, and all i got was hell for it.

Even now with my car, it's STILL a 4 eye....all i did was change the style, and i get crap over it. Then when you add in that my car is a rare SSP, it's all out war. So i ask every person who gives me crap if they'll sponsor me the cash to restore my car.....and after they stop laughing, i tell them unless they're paying for it, i'll have MY car MY way, ya know?

wow thats some stuff that i need to change. maybe i will just look for an old 85-86 and just change it. my reason for changing the front end is to be unique. there is alot more 87-93 style stangs here than 85-86. besides i like the gt molding that go on the rear of the doors. but then again who knows i might just get a whole fiberglass front. since its a project. but anyways thanks for everybodies input!

good idea, there was someone with great pics of a car they swapped to four-eye (sort of), lemme see if i can dig em up

and to whomevers car this is, thumbs up once more

Yep... I get what you're saying. The only reason I have any heatburn with swapping from a 4 eye to an Aero is that the 4 eyes are slowly fading and getting harder to find while the world is still filthy with the Aero nosed cars. I think the only Aero conversion I've seen that was sweet as hell was an 86 T-Top notch that someone converted over. It was "unique". I have a hard time finding fault with that particular project or something like it.
