87- 95 spindale nut wont spin on

i changeg my spindals and on the last one the nut that holds the spindal on wont screw all the way down now what can i do to get it on. it just spins

you need to get a .330 spacer between the nut and the spindle. It seems like you did a 5-lug swap and did not change the ball-joint to the 94-04 joint. Hope this helps.

i did the spacer the nut is half on and the ball joint just keeps spinning. i am useing a tork wrench

if you have an impact wrench give it a quick zap to help tighten it. also some penetrating lube may help as there maybe some grime in there stopping the nut

make sure you don't have screwed up threads. you can also try putting a jack under the control arm to put some weight on the balljoint to hold it.

just dont break off that grease end off with the jack

Use a hammer and give the spindle a far taps downward onto the balljoint to seat it....and then try to tighten it.


It's common to have the bj spin in then control arm. You need to seat to spindle or use an impact wrench

got it. i put the jack under the ball joint and worked the nut on and off till i got it. then i torked it down and put pin in.

Thanks for the advise everyone it got the job done.
