Hi, I got a call from a guy (he's real discouraged, no one can find the problem).
It's an 87GT with a B303 cam and a MAF conversion. I think the MAF conversion isn't well done because the vacuum line to the MAP is still plugged in (shouldn't I replace the MAP to BAP? The online instructions says to just remove the vacuum line and leave the MAP sensor in place). I will check to see if the MAF is properly plugged in and such...
Another thing that eludes me is that the idle air bypass solenoid wiring has been played with. I unplugged the solenoid and the car won't revv to 3000 on startup and will actually idle. So I bet the solenoid gets a wicked signal and is wide open for too long.
Also you think I should install an idle adjuster (between the TB and IAP solenoid)?
Thanks for any ideas you guys might have...
