For a Mach1...does anyone know if the motor is tuned for 87 or 93 octane? I use 93 premium, however if it's tuned for 87, it'll run better with regular 87 and im doing more bad than good....The manual says 87 but the manual doesnt specify model...its also for v6, gt, ect....does anyone know for sure if the Mach is tuned for 93??

Your 4V Mach 1 requires premium unleaded.

It should say right in your Owner's manual it requires premium fuel. (91 or better)

No Ford is recommended in the owner's manual to run 93.

They recommend 91.

So will 91 be better than 93 and run better?

this would be due to Cali's gas being 91 as premium.....and we're still more expensive

I put nothing but premium in my tank. Even in the GT. That ethanol crap makes it run terribly.
