i have a 87 mustang gt with 157k on it the kid i bought it from said it was rebuilt at 50k no lie i been finding tools in engine bay and the car is runing rough and the exhaust was all hack up. the top where the sunroof is is know to leak so some one used bondo and newpaper to fill it.it has capri fender on it a 3in cervinni cowl hood had a hole in it and they bondo it back up .the cowl is all bang up to does any body think its worth fixing or parting it out will be better?
does any body know how to find the right push rods out i have a set of stock gt 40 iron head fully ported and polsih 3angel vavle job all new valves and seal spring but the guy used chevy valve he said it was a old racer trick do you think i should just go ahead and buy a new set

Personally, I would vote for parting it out. Who knows what happened to the engine. Especially if this guy gives the same attention to the engine as he does the body work. Doesn't sound like there was too much attention to detail. Hopefully you got a deal on it. Good luck.

Get rid of it!! I see nothing but trouble coming from it. WHo knows what else your going to find, even if you throw a new motor in god knows whats done to the body. I have heard stories of people gettin a car that sis actualy 3 stolen cars welded togeather...you dont wanna end up with a nightmare like that.
