Can a bad computer take out a good TFI or PIP? I read on some other forum where a guy keep blowing known good distributors by putting them in a car that turned out to have a bad ECU.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I'm having same issue now. When I insert the spout connector after setting timing to 10 degrees, it shuts off immediately.
